Welcome to Simple2Cook.com! This website holds Simon Lea's favourite recipes - which all follow these rules:

• * Minimal washing up!

It's a bit of a work in progress at the moment - and it's partly to keep my hand in as a web techie. My plan is to sit the application (PHP) on top of a database (MySQL) to make it easier to maintain recipes and do cool stuff like "what can I make with this" - i.e. entering ingredients you want to use up. It would also be fun to generate a shopping list - or even place an order at an online retailer that provides an API. Today's invention is a "gluten free" button that translates the whole recipe. Why not? It's only data...

This website version uses "responsive design". If you don't know what that means, open it your laptop, phone or tablet and twist it from vertical to horizontal and watch what happens. It's amazing isn't it? How does it know?

I quite like developing software like this - basically feeling my way from one version to another! Not sure what to do with images yet - but click on this one...
